Lori and Bryan, My heartfelt sympathy on the passing of your father. I often saw him at dances at Zabawa in Erie and the Springs. He brought so much to polka music and happiness to people. May he and those who have gone before us rest in God's peace and light. And may you and your family know strength and love in the days ahead. You are in the thoughts of more people than you know.

I was so saddened to hear that Ron passed. He will be greeted in heaven by his old friend, Michael Anderson. We all worked together at Moore Business Forms in its good days. I later worked again with Ron when he came to HSBC to run the WHIRL Project.

My heart breaks for all of you! He was a great man who enjoyed life to the fullest! He was a man that made people feel good with his polka music or took the time to know what was new and interesting in your life. The way I see it... he’s with my dad and Eddie B making polka music alive in heaven.

As a member of the Auslanders band, I am grateful for the times we had together at joint Polish/German festivals! Going back to the late 1970’s, we provided a lot of entertainment! I’m going to miss you, God willing, we’ll set up again sometime. Bleibt Im. Ruhr!

Dear Kathy, Phil and I were so sorry to hear about Ron. We remember him fondly as the smiling guy who always had a funny line or joke for you. He was a proud polish performer and we are honored to say that his “Pole-Cats” band played at our wedding in 1975. You are all in our thoughts and prayers. Phil & Carol (Urbanczyk) Spaeth

Dear Kathy, Lori, Brian and Kayla, We are saddened beyond belief with the loss of our dear friend Ron. There was not a finer example of a man that did it all. He was the best husband, father, brother, son and friend that anyone could have wanted to be part of their lives. We looked up to him, he was our leader in the friendship we have shared with you over all these years. His words will be appreciated, his actions will be lovingly remembered by anyone he encountered, but the feelings he left with us, will be forever etched in our hearts. Ron would have appreciated a sport theme, “God’s home team” just got a lot stronger. Be well, rest well, take care of yourselves, all of our love...Brian, Laurie and our angel Lindsay

Dear Kathy and family, I am so very sad to hear of Ron’s passing. My 90 year old mother Mary Anne from Niagara Falls was his biggest fan. He always singled her out and played the polka Mariska Moya for her. Going to hear the New Direction is the one thing she has loved most in the last few years. And your husband’s kindness to her made her smile for days afterward. My extended family would see them at the Echo Club, Polish Nook and many other venues and extend their deepest condolences as well. My heart is heavy for you and your family. Ron was one in a million I have no idea how to tell my mother, she will be heartbroken. Please know I am keeping you and your children in my prayers.

Dear Kathy, Brian and Lori. I just lost my best friend, golf buddy and all-around beautiful person. We always had a great time together on vacations, polka dances, wine tastings and just spending time with you and Ronny. It was a total shock to me to find out that he was sick and I figured that he would survive the corona virus. Kathy, you and Ronny were the perfect couple together and I always envied your relationship. You were the perfect couple. I said prayers every day to pray for his recovery, but Im sure he is in heaven watching over us. Im very sorry that I didnt come up from Florida for the wake and funeral and I have felt bad not being there in person to be there for you and the family. Please call me when you feel you can talk and let me know if there is anything I can do for you. I'm also in semi isolation in Florida since some of my friends have had positive Covid test results. Again, I'm deeply sorry that a great person and friend is gone and I wont see him again. God bless. Also, is there a charity that you would like me to contribute to. Dennis Ratajczak
