Michelle, Gary, Katelyn, and Jenna, I wanted to offer my sincerest condolences to you all. I worked with Bill when I first joined the bank in 2015 when I took a job in his department, and he made me feel welcome from day one. He always amazed me at how he seemed to be able to fix anything, and he never seemed bothered whenever I used to ask him time after time to help me “fix a table” in a word document, get a jam out of the printer...I used to laugh at one of the contraptions he made to actually remove the tiniest piece of paper that was jammed in the copier, but do you think that worked? Of course it did!! Bill was amazing... so gracious. I’ll never forget him secretly telling me before board meetings would start when I was new, “this is so and so” he would whisper to me. He just wanted me to be successful in my job and I always appreciated everything he did for me. I just wanted you all to know how special he was to us at M&T. I’m truly sorry for your loss. My thoughts and prayers are with you all during this time.

Bill was a very good friend back in our St. Bonaventure years. I lost contact with him a long time ago but never forgot what a gentle, witty and good man he was. My condolences at your loss. Jim Flynn, St. Bonaventure Class of 1979, Water vliet, NY

My sincere condolences to the Miori family, Bill was indeed a very solid man of honor and respect. Remembering back to the time when we both went to St. Bonaventure and enjoyed the college radio station: WSBU-FM. Years later when Bill was a Hills Manager and I was once again making the trip to Olean to pursue my college endeavors this time for Computer Science course work. Bill came to my rescue to find me lodging and though times were getting tough with him in his waning days at Hills, Bill found me lodging where he was staying with a nice young lady in Olean. I owe a tremendous amount of thanks for helping me in those days and by helping me I could pursue my course work. It’s those tenuous moments in one’s life when you need someone to help you through those tough times and I’m thankful that I had such a friend like Bill to see me through, Thanks Bill.
