I spent hours on end with James writing and playing music. It was our outlet and a form of expression we shared. His spirit and smile could transform a room towards a positive direction. We were just recently discussing ways to collaborate our businesses in order to educate, encourage, and love others. Since my brother and sister died I usually don't bother with funerals and wakes, but losing this incredible human makes my heart ache. There is nothing anyone ever says that makes any of this the slightest bit easier, I know from personal experience. The only thing I can ever say to anyone who is going through the loss of someone they love is 1) Don't forget to weep. Weeping is a gift just as deep laughter is, use it. and 2) As you are weeping try your best to lift your head up and learn something. For if you do that is the only way to give something that seems so meaningless some meaning. If you need anything, a driver, a dinner, whatever, please let me know.

Sue and Pat, My most heartfelt condolences for your loss. I know it was quite a few years ago now, but I remember those weekends in Ellicottville and the haunted hay rides- we all had so much fun. I hope the love and support of your family and friends can bring some comfort to you now. Sending you lots of prayers and healing energy.

To the Leary family: I will remember Jim as a kind, fun-loving guy, who was always quick with a joke. Though we went our separate ways over the years he continued to reach out and stay in touch, like the true friend that I am sure he was to many. I want to send my heartfelt condolences to your family. I am very sorry for your loss and my thoughts and prayers are with you. Sincerely, Jason Russillio

Dear Sue & Pat. I am so sorry for the loss of your beautiful son, Jim! I remember him when I would stop in at Pat Leary Motors! He'd be sitting at the desk and we'd talk about his future. I was so happy when I saw that he started his own business. My thoughts and prayers are with you. If there is anything we can do we are here for you. Sending love and hugs, Suzanne & Mark Crotty

Dear Sue and family, I'm so sorry for our loss! I was horrified and very saddened to read James's death notice in the News. Tom and I still remember your wedding day so long ago, how cold it was for an evening in August. I couldn't come to the wake because I had surgery last week, but am sending a donation to Save the Michaels of the World in James's memory. We've been praying for you.
