Gajewski, Gerald Daniel - August 11th, 2021

GAJEWSKI - Gerald Daniel On August 11th, 2021, of Cheektowaga, NY, has been taken from this earth as he has lost his battle with MDS/AML. Born March 22nd, 1937 in Buffalo, NY. He is survived by his wife Elzbieta Grabowska; his daughter, Diane (Scott) Gorny of Amherst, NY and Anna Grabowska of Owings, MD. Grandfather of Kristen and Andrew. He is survived by his brother Roger (Peggy) of Woodlawn, TN and David (Becky) Gage of Sherman, TX. He is preceded in death by his late brother Daniel and sister Elizabeth (Joseph) Swientek; his parents, aunts and uncles. He is further survived by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and countless friends. Gerry was a proud member of the armed forces including USMC, Air Force and National Guard. He was a 32 degree Grand Lodge of New York, Mason since 1990 and Master at 5 different Lodges. Was a volunteer at the YWCA Food Pantry, and was a Docent at the Naval and Military Park of Buffalo, NY. Gerry was also member of the Polish Arts Club of WNY, MCL in East Aurora, and the Evans Rod and Gun Club where he enjoyed the shooting sports and camaraderie of his friends. Gerry had a great career with Roadway and enjoyed traveling the lower 48 and Europe. Visitation Sunday, 2-6 PM, at the PACER FUNERAL HOME, INC., 2275 George Urban Blvd., Depew (2 blocks east of Dick Rd.), and will include Masonic Services. Mass of Christian Burial at St. Adalbert’s Basilica, 212 Stanislaus St., Buffalo, Monday at 10:30 AM. Please assemble at church. Interment to follow in St. Adalbert Cemetery, Lancaster NY. I am very sorry to hear about Uncle Gerry. He was a great uncle and a great man. No matter how much time had passed, every time I saw him it always felt like he was the same person I remembered him as. He will be missed.
