Rest easy Uncle Rog. I’m really going to miss our texts and calls about local politics and just generally catching up on life. Thanks for everything over the years. I have no doubt you’re enjoying a drink and having a good laugh with the rest of the family now. Until we meet again.

In the early 1980's, Roger was one of the Deputies who'd take custody of the shoplifters we picked up at the stores on Transit Rd. This was back in the day when criminals weren't catch and release. Roger and his partner would give them a speech about their choices in life and where it would surely lead- to a room at the Ten Delaware. I'm sure it helped more then one person turn their life around, or at least they avoided Transit Rd. He was a true professional. Rest in Peace Deputy, and thank you for your service to Community and Country.

Roger always had hundreds of tales and stories to tell us…tales of the Vietnam War and stories of being a policeman. He lived a full life and had tons of dirty jokes! He belonged to many organizations where he and Sue would attend functions. Everyone LOVED Roger including the Tunneys!
