Briechle, Rita M. (Nee Leichtenschlag) - April 3, 2021

BRIECHLE - Rita M. (nee Leichtenschlag) April 3, 2021, Rita entered our Father’s heavenly kingdom at a most befitting time, Holy Saturday. Besides her dedication to her family, Rita’s Catholic faith defined her life. Leaving a war-torn country, she emigrated from Germany in 1958 with her mother and sister to make a new life in America. Shortly thereafter, Rita met and married her beloved and devoted husband, Frank. They were married for 62 years. Rita and Frank raised four children, Andre (Lisa), Peter (Sam), Michael (Michele) and Lisa (Terry) Briechle-Reese. It is undeniable that Rita was a devoted and caring mother and grandmother, who showered love and affection upon her five grandchildren: Stephen, Stephanie, Ian, Julia, and Leo. She is also survived by nieces and nephews. Rita and her sister, Emmy, were inseparable to the very end. She was also predeceased by her beloved brother, Erick. In the past ten years, she suffered from dementia. As Rita progressively worsened, without hesitation or thought otherwise, Frank, as her primary caregiver, ensured that she was well cared for throughout her illness. Rita died peacefully by his side, in the comfort of their home. Visitation Wednesday 4-7 PM at the PACER FUNERAL HOME, INC., 2275 George Urban Blvd., Depew (two blocks east of Dick Rd.). Mass of Christin Burial at St. Martha Parish, 10 French Rd., Depew, Thursday 10 AM. Please assemble at church. Donations may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association. Please share condolences at the www.PACERFUNERALHOME.com.

While we didn't have the pleasure of meeting Rita in person, we have a strong sense of her through the great qualities she passed down to her son, Peter. She must truly have been a wonderful person. Our heartfelt sympathies to Frank, Peter and Sam, and all Peter's siblings, and their families.
