Dear Battistoni Family, I was so sad to see the notice in the paper of Jim's passing. I had the privilege of being the physician for Ines and Jim for many years in the 1980's and 90's, and remained in touch with them, and then Jim, yearly. Jim was such a smart, talented, interesting and kind soul. I will continue to remember him and Ines regularly whenever I play the lovely CD Jim made in retirement. What a gift that was. Please know that my thoughts are with all of you.

So sorry for your loss. Just a resident of Clarence and the Senior Center. Maybe you knew my friend Peter Scaccia who passed about one year ago. His relatives were LaNasa. I am a graduate of Williamsville South class of 1968. Live at Brothers Senior apartments now. My relatives are Borello's and Grisante's as in Mark Grisane. My cousin Jane Borello was head nurse at Buffalo General at one ti;me and taught the nursing school there. Better day's ahead...............Take Care.

I was shocked and saddened to see the notice about the passing of dear sweet Uncle Jim. When I opened the paper and saw his face the first thing I thought of was how much he resembled Jerry. I am so grateful for the kindness he showed my family over the years. Many fond memories of Jim and Jerry making me laugh until my sides hurt. God speed and guide you during this period of healing.

Sad I never got to ask his forgiveness for all the times I acted up in the fourth-grade art class, including splashing paint on Dickie Barrows for which he chased me around the room. Unfortunately or perhaps fortunately, he did not catch me. He was one of my Mother's favorite teachers when she served him in the cafeteria. And I got well-deserved hell when she heard of my bad behavior ("Tommy, I never raised you like that."). I still suck at art. Maybe if I had only paid attention. Rest in peace.
